Singer, Selena Gomez has spoken out about receiving a kidney from her best friend, Francia Raisa.

While speaking to Savannah Guthrie on NBC Today, Selena Gomez broke down in tears while narrating her journey and how Francia saved her life. According to her, her kidneys were done and she couldn't ask anybody to donate their kidney. She blurted out her problems to her friend one day and she offered to donate her kidney. 

“My kidneys were just done,” Gomez told Savannah Guthrie. “That was it, and I didn’t want to ask a single person in my life. The thought of asking someone to do that was really difficult for me. She volunteered and did it. And let alone someone wanting to volunteer, it is incredibly difficult to find a match. The fact that she was a match, I mean that’s unbelievable. That’s not real.”

In the image obtained by TMZ, the pair were pictured grabbing breakfast at a cafe in Los Angeles as they continue to rekindle their friendship. 

This comes days after Justin was seen visiting Selena at her home last Sunday, staying until around midnight. 

It has earlier been reported that Selena's current beau The Weeknd who has been out of town, 'doesn't care' that the former flames are hanging out.

One source told TMZ that 27-year-old 'is well aware Selena and Justin are talking,' while another said that the Toronto native 'doesn’t think Selena talking to Justin again is weird at all' and 'doesn’t care.'

Another insider said that The Weekend 'has been on tour and she’s been traveling back and forth to LA, but they are 100 percent still on.'

Anthony Joshua beats Eric Molina to retain IBF heavyweight title (Photos)

Anthony Joshua emerged victorious in the fight against Eric Molina after only three rounds, with Anthony dominating the fight in all the rounds.

All through the fight Eric was mostly on the defensive and rarely succeeded in throwing a punch, making the fight look like a mismatch. 

It ended halfway into the third round with Anthony knocking Molina to the canvas with several punches. The referee stepped in then to end the fight.

Moments after the win, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, brought Wladimir Klitschko into the ring to announce that he will be fighting Anthony Joshua on April 29^th at Wembley Stadium.  It is believed that this fight will be the toughest so far for the Nigerian born British boxer, considering Klitschko’s numerous years in the ring.

Klitschko’s defeat to Tyson Fury at the end of last year came as a surprise to most, including to Klitschko. No doubt this fight with Joshua will be seen by Klitschko as a way to redeem himself and this makes the fight all the more intriguing. Joshua on his part seems confident about the fight and he expressed this in his speech to his audience;

 “Klitschko wants his belts back, may the best man win. I focus on myself, that's how I beat Wladimir Klitschko.”

Louis Tomlinson Loses his 42yr old mum after battle with leukaemia

One Direction pop star, Louis Tomlinson, has lost his mum, 42-year-old Johannah Deakin, to leukaemia. Ms. Deakin who was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year, died in the morning of Wednesday, 7th Dec. Her family have released a statement to this effect. The statement read:

 “It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016. Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”

Dan Deakin, husband of the deceased eulogised his late wife, stating that she was an amazing mother to all her children, a wonderful grandmother to her grandchild and a selfless woman who immersed herself in service to others.

"Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them.  She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie.''

He went on to refer to her as “the perfect wife and best friend to face each day with.”

I have fans that are gay, men that come up to me, and they're inspired by me, or they like me as an entertainer, and when they want to give me a hug or take pictures with me, what, am I supposed to not put my arm around them, or stand next to them, and if the man next to me in the picture is gay, that makes me gay? That's just simpleminded ignorance, and I don't play that.

Mariah Carey explains why she prefers to be photographed from her right side

Mariah Carey who always insists on been photographed from her right side has revealed the reason behind the decision. Speaking to her makeup artist on an episode of Mariah's World, She revealed that she only wants her right side photographed because of what a lady on the set of a photo-shoot she did when 19 years said. 
According to her, while doing her first photo shoot at the age of nineteen, a lady on set said, her right side was her good side:

"This is your good side, only let people photograph you from your good side, ever." After she heard her comments, she hated all pictures taken from her left side.

Her makeup artist replies saying he thinks she had a crappy photographer. Mariah admitted she did have a crappy photographer and a makeup artist then.

However she also admitted that she doesn't hate photos from her left side when it is well lit.  "I don't hate it when it's well-lit, they just have to light it" she said.

The couple who welcomed their second child, Dimitri P. Kutcher, on November 30th were seen walking hand in hand on Friday but without their children.
Following the birth of Dimitri, Mila and Ashton Kutcher released the following statement on his website:

“We’d like to allow our kids to make their own choices on whether to have a life in the public eye or not. We don’t want to make the choice for them.”

Their first child, a baby girl, Wyatt Kutcher was born on October 1st 2014.

Kardashian sisters reportedly assure Blac Chyna that the trademark drama was a formality

Companies owned by the Kardashians filed legal documents to block Blac Chyna, from trademarking the 'Kardashian' name for use. Although her lawyer Walter Mosley reacted, saying he was “shocked” to learn that the request was being opposed but he was going to diligently continue the case, it is being reported that the sisters had no idea and their manager/mother, Kris Jenner has reached out to settle the issue. TMZ reports:

Blac Chyna got railroaded by the Kardashians' attorneys -- not the K sisters themselves -- in her effort to trademark herself as a member of the fam ... and now Kris Jenner's doing damage control. 

Sources close to BC tell TMZ ... Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe reached out to her and assured her their lawyers were following standard ops when they filed docs to block Chyna's application to trademark "Angela Renee Kardashian" -- not singling her out. The assurances were necessary after the language the lawyers used. We broke the story ... the docs said all 3 sisters would "suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill" if Chyna got the green light to use the Kardashian name in entertainment. 

We're told Kris personally told Chyna there's no beef ... it was a simple mix-up and she's calling off the legal eagles. For now, everyone's saying the right things to make Chyna feel better about the legal diss -- but, fact is, her trademark still hasn't been approved. Until it is ... it's a lot of lip service.

Kerry Washington steps out for first time after the birth of her child in rare appearance with husband Nnamdi Asomugha

Kerry Washington and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha left their two babies at home to attend the Ambassadors for Humanity Gala Benefiting USC Shoah Foundation in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Thursday. The actress gave birth to their second child, a son, Caleb Kelechi Asomugha. This marks the Scandal star's first public appearance since giving birth to their son in October.

The couple, who rarely make public appearances together, looked amazing at the event. The couple mingled with renowned filmmakers Steven Spielberg and honoree George Lucas at the event. 

Prior to giving birth, the 39-year-old actress said at this year's Emmy Awards that she was nervous about having two children in the house. She said:

"I'm an only child so every time the family grows it uh... it brings up a little bit of anxiety," she explained. "But it’s fantastic. I'm really happy."
